[Authentication] CIVIL license authentication method

Question

I am wondering how to authenticate a CIVIL license.

Answer

There are two ways to authenticate the MIDAS program: "Web Authentication" when connected to the internet, and "Hardware Lock Authentication" when a USB is inserted into the main body.

The two authentication methods are selected when purchasing the product, and the authentication method must be different when using the program.

We have classified the process for each authentication method at the bottom, so please refer to it and proceed with the authentication.

1. Run 'Register Protection License'

After running CIVIL, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen and run 'Register Protection License.'

2. Select and Authenticate the Authentication Method

Select the authentication method at the top of the active 'Register Protection License' window and proceed with authentication.

  • Web Authentication

1) Select [Web Authentication].

2) Enter 'User ID / Password / Protection Key ID' in the 'License Authentication' section.

3) Click the [Select Product] button.

4) Select the product to use from the activated 'Program Licensing Configuration' window.

5) Click the [Update] button at the bottom of the 'Program Licensing Configuration' window and then click the [OK] button.

6) Click the [OK] button at the bottom of the 'Register Protection License' window.

  • USB Lock authentication method (Hardware Lock)

1) Insert the Hardware Lock to be used into the main body.

2) Select [Hardware Lock].

3) Enter the 'Key Number' in the 'License Authentication' field.

4) Click the [OK] button at the bottom of the 'Register Protection License' window.

If you do not want to see the 'Register Protection License' window every time you run CIVIL, check On 'Do not display this dialog at startup' at the bottom of the 'Register Protection License' window.
