Question
I want to make a 3D section for General drawing using ISO View.
Answer
Using the Named View function of CIM, you can create a 3D section in the form of an isometric view (ISO View). In addition, you can create customized drawings for General drawing use for drawing artifacts.
Based on the example in the following explanation), based on the section created in CAD INFRA-DESIGN, add the title, dimension line, symbol, etc. of the drawing to make the drawing.
Figure. 1 Copy of one-sided |
ㆍSelect the section to be used in CIM View Mode.
If you double-click the section name in the CIM View Mode - Work Tree window, the section
is selected and zoomed in.
ㆍFor example, to create a drawing for general drawing and rebar drawing using the same section,
two sections are copied.
In (Example of explanation), two sections other than the original section were copied.
Figure. 2 Rename section |
ㆍ You can change the name of the copied section according to the purpose of the drawing.
The name can be changed only in the copied section,
and the name of the original section created from CIM can be changed in CIM.
Figure. 3 Classification of use of drawings |
ㆍ Names are classified according to the purpose of the drawing.
In the example of explanation), the names of general drawings and rebar drawing have been
separated and changed.
Figure. 4 Section configuration |
ㆍ This is the process of creating a section for general drawing use.
① Select View Box. (For selection, left-click the mouse and select View Box.)
② In order to meet the purpose of writing for general drawing use, the model with rebars is
turned off.
(For On / Off of rebar, if you select the section view window, the rebar list appears in the
Objet dialog box, and you can turn on/off the Check Box
Figure. 5 Apply Style and Scale changes |
ㆍThis is the process of selecting a style registered in CAD INFRA-DESIGN.
① Left-click the View Box and drag to select it.
② Set the view scale to 1:50.
③ Find the registered style name in the Style item and select it.
Example of explanation) InfraDesign_Style S02 (General Drawing With Hatch) was selected and
applied.
Figure. 6 Apply changes Update |
ㆍIf there is a change such as style, right-click on the CIM View Mode section name to display the
Update dialog box.
ㆍIf you select the Update item, the drawing changes are updated.
Figure. 7 2.5D Dimension line command (ISO View applied dimension line) |
ㆍFor the dimension line, select
INFRA-DESIGN > 2.5D Dimension > 2.5D Linear or 2.5D Aligne Select or enter a command.
[LINEAR2.5DDIMENSION (LD2) / ALIGNED2.5DDIMENSION (AD2)]
1. LINEAR2.5DDIMENSION
The generated base of the dimension line is used as the dimension line with alignment,
As an option, it is selected and applied according to the distance and the increment
distance of X, Y, Z.
2. ALIGNED2.5DDIMENSION
It is used as a dimension line aligned to any edge and marked.
As an option, it is selected and applied according to the distance and the increment
distance of X, Y, Z.
Figure. 8 Dimension line input method (1) |
ㆍIn the example of explanation), input LINEAR2.5DDIMENSION to display the height of the coping,
column, and foundation of the pier.
Enter an option for the incremental distance to be created in the Z direction. (z)
ㆍClick the first dimension line creation point. (①, ②)
ㆍEnter the separation distance in the dimension line creation direction or select a creation point
with the mouse. (③)
In the example of explanation), the distance at which the dimension line will be created to the
outer edge of the structure is entered. (1000)
Figure. 9 Dimension line input method (2) |
ㆍYou can give the dimension line inclination by setting it to an arbitrary inclination angle or the
inclination direction of the structure.
ㆍIn the example of explanation), set the slope by drawing the points (④, ⑤) of the structure.
ㆍIf there is a dimension line to be continuously created, select the next point continuously.
(⑥, ⑦, ⑧)
Figure. 10 Dimension line input section |
ㆍThis is the section where the dimension line is entered.
ㆍFigure. The 2.5D dimension lines of 8 were created using the
(LINEAR2.5DDIMENSION / ALIGNED2.5DDIMENSION) function.
ㆍ In the example of the description), the height dimension line of the pier is input with the
2.5D LINEAR Dimension function, Other dimension lines were entered with the
2.5D ALIGNED Dimension function.
Figure. 11 Configuration of drawing(Add general view section) |
ㆍCompose the drawing by placing the created ISO View 3D section in the sheet according to
the user environment.
ㆍGo to the CAD View Mode model space and configure the sheet to use.

ㆍDrag & drop the section in the CIM View Mode model space and place it on the Sheet.
ㆍCreate drawings by adding titles and symbols of subsequent drawings.
