Question
I want to make a 3D section for Rebar drawing using ISO View.
Answer
Using the 3D View function of CIM, you can create a 3D section in the form of an isometric view (ISO View).
In addition, you can create customized drawings for Rebar drawing use for drawing artifacts.
Based on the example in the following explanation), based on the section created in CAD INFRA-DESIGN, add the title, dimension line, symbol, etc. of the drawing to make the drawing.
Figure. 1 Section configuration |
ㆍSelect the section to be used in CIM View.
If you double-click the section name in the CIM View Mode - Work Tree window, the section is
selected and zoomed in.
Figure. 2 Apply Style and Scale changes |
① Drag the View Box to select it.
② Set the view scale to 1:50.
③ Find the registered style name in the Style item and select it.
In the example of explanation), InfraDesign_Style S05 (ISO Rebar) as selected and applied.
Figure. 3 Application of changes Update |
ㆍIf there is a change such as style, right-click on the CIM View Mode section name to display the
Update dialog box.
ㆍIf you select the Update item, the drawing changes are updated.

Figure. 5 Select foundation reinforcement and set visibility |
ㆍIn ISO View, where rebars are modeled, it is recommended to classify rebars according to the
user's environment and make drawings.
ㆍIn the example of explanation), the foundation B1 rebar group of the pier is exposed.
① Drag the View Box to select it.
② Hide all rebar annotations, find and show individual rebar numbers according to drawing
purpose.
Figure. 6 Create rebar annotation (1) |
ㆍThere are two methods of creating reinforcing bar annotations in the 3D section created
with ISO View.
ㆍIt is divided into SingleAnnotation (SA) / MultiAnnotation (MUA).
According to the display range of the leader line of the reinforcing bar annotation one rebar or
grouped rebars are displayed separately.
Figure. 7 Create rebar annotation (2) |
ㆍ Figure. In the example of explanation in 7), rebar annotations and ranges are displayed for
B1 rebar group using MultiAnnotation.
How to use is as follows.
1. Enter the command MultiAnnotation (MUA)
2. Option selection [Line(L)/Polyline(P)]
: [L] input * This is an option to indicate the range of the rebar by drawing a line.
3. Insertion point designation / end point selection : * The starting and ending positions of the
rebar annotation range.
4. Select the Base point : * Designate the location where the reinforcing bar annotation
will be created.

ㆍCopy the same section and use it for the section where the column reinforcement is visible.

ㆍ In the copied section, the existing reinforcing bars are hidden and the column P1, P3 rebar groups
of the piers are shown.

ㆍ In the case of column reinforcing bars in which multiple reinforcing bars are overlapped,
the SingleAnnotation (SA) function is used to display one representative rebar annotation.
Figure. 12 Create rebar annotation (4) |
ㆍExample of explanation) uses SingleAnnotation to display reinforcing bar annotations and ranges
for P1 column rebar group.
ㆍHow to use is as follows.
1. Enter the command SingleAnnotation (SA)
2. Objet Select : * Select the rebar group to create a rebar annotation.
3. Insertion point designation * Select a representative rebar for which reinforcing bar annotations
are to be created among rebar groups.
4. Text point designation : * Designate the location where the rebar annotation will be created.

ㆍCopy the same section and use it for the section where the rebars of the coping part are visible.
Figure. 16 How to set representative rebar (1) |
ㆍIn ISO View, where multiple rebars are modeled, it is possible to select representative
rebars among grouped rebars for visibility.
ㆍ For representative rebar, select INFRA-DESIGN > Rebar Group Setting > Rebar Group Setting
Shortkey (RG)

[CAD ID] How to Create 2D Drawings (Rebar drawing)
ㆍDrag & drop the section in the CIM View model space and place it on the sheet.
ㆍCreate a drawing by placing the section according to the user drawing configuration, and
adding the title and symbol of the drawing.
