[CIVIL] The fixed load defined in Auto Generation in Load Combination is not activated.

Question

The fixed load defined in Auto Generation in Load Combination is not enabled.

Answer

The KSCE-LSD15 standard categorizes fixed load types as DC and DW. As shown in the design criteria below, DC is divided into structural members and non-structural attachments, and DW is divided into pavement and facilities. You can also see that each type has a maximum and minimum load factor.

(The KSCE-UDS10 standard does not categorize types of fixed loads, so it uses the same load factor, so the option to select a load factor does not exist).

There are cases where modeling is performed by unconsciously setting the static load as Dead Load(D) type, but since the load factor is different for each type of static load according to the KSCE-LSD15 standard, it is necessary to define the type accurately according to the type of static load in Static Load Cases when using the automatic load combination generation function.
