Function
- Check the stresses of beam elements defined as PSC Sections, in a spreadsheet table format.
- Table Tool in midas Civil offers a variety of powerful built-in functions. Refer to Usage of Table Tool for detail directions:

Beam Stress(PSC) results table
Beam Stress(PSC) tab : The results are the same as those from Result>Stress>Beam Stress (PSC). The results for load cases/combinations such as moving load, support settlement, time history, Envelope, etc. are displayed as Max/Min load cases/combinations. However, the maximum and minimum values displayed for each component are not the concurrent stresses.
Principal Stress : The results displayed under Max/Min are the concurrent stresses when the principal stress attains the maximum/minimum value (Sig-Ps Max/Sig-Ps Min) in case of a moving load, support settlement, time history, Envelope load case or combination.
Normal Stress : The results displayed under Max/Min are concurrent stresses when the normal stress (sum of axial stresses in the ECS x-direction) attains the maximum/minimum value in case of a moving load, support settlement, time history, Envelope load case or combination.
Elem : Element number
Load : Load case/combination name
Stage : Stage for which stresses are produced
Step : Step of the stage for which stresses are produced
Part : Locations at which element internal forces are produced
Section Position : Position for which inclined stresses are produced (6 positions)
Sig-xx (Axial) : Axial stress due to the axial force (Fx) in the ECS x-direction
Sig-xx (Moment-y) : Stress due to My (moment about the ECS y-axis) in ECS x-direction
Sig-xx (Moment-z) : Stress due to Mz (moment about the ECS z-axis) in ECS x-direction
Sig-xx (Bar) : Axial stress due to shear steel bars in the ECS x-direction
Sig-xx (Summation) : Sum of the axial stress in the ECS x-direction and the axial stress due to shear steel bars in the ECS x-direction
Sig-xz(shear) : Sum of shear stresses due to shear force and shear steel bars
Sig-xz(torsion) : Shear stress due to torsion
Sig-xz(bar) : Shear stress due to shear steel bars
For shear stress calculations, shear thickness at the corresponding checking location of the PSC section is used. If no value is entered, the thickness will be automatically calculated.
Sig-Is(shear) : Diagonal stress due to shear force
Sig-Is(shear+torsion) : Diagonal stress due to torsion and shear force
Sig-Ps1 : Maximum principal stress
Sig-Ps2 : Minimum principal stress
The detailed calculation methods for each stress component are described in Results > Stress > Beam Stresses (PSC).
