Function
- Construction stage analysis results of composite sections can be checked in a table in the form of Spread Sheet.
- Table Tool in midas Civil offers a variety of powerful built-in functions. Refer to Usage of Table Tool for detail directions:
Call
From the main menu, select [Results] tab > [Type : Analysis result] > [Table] group > [Results Tables] > [Composite Section for C.S.] > [Beam Force & Stress]
From the main menu, select [Results] tab > [Type : Analysis result] > [Table] group > [Results Tables] > [Composite Section for C.S.] > [Beam Force]
From the main menu, select [Results] tab > [Type : Analysis result] > [Table] group > [Results Tables] > [Composite Section for C.S.] > [Beam Stress]
Input
When you execute the "Beam > Force & Stress Table" function, the Records Activation Dialog will be displayed. Here, you can select the target nodes, elements, load conditions, and construction stages for the output. After making your selections, click the OK button. If you click Cancel, the table will be generated for all targets, which may take a considerable amount of time depending on the case.
For the usage of the Records Activation Dialog, please refer to the "Usage of Table Tool" section in the documentation for detailed information on the resulting table.
Refer to Usage of Table Tool and check the following data
When examining Beam Forces, selecting "Current Step Result" will output the member forces for the current step.
Beam Force
Elem : Element number
Load : Unit load case/combination
Stage : Construction stage
Step : Sub-stage
Section Part : Part Number in composite section
Part : Output position along the length of each element
Axial : Axial force
Shear - y : Shear force in the element's local y-axis direction
Shear - z : Shear force in the element's local z-axis direction
Torsion : Torsional moment about the element's local x-axis
Moment - y : Bending moment about the element's local y-axis
Moment - z : Bending moment about the element's local z-axis
Beam Stress
Elem : Element number
Load : Unit load case/combination
Stage : Construction stage
Step : Sub-stage
Section Part : Part Number in composite section
Part : Output position along the length of each element
Axial : Axial stress
Shear - y : Shear stress in the element's local y-axis direction
Shear - z : Shear stress in the element's local z-axis direction
Bend(+y) : Bending stress about the element's local y-axis (positive direction)
Bend(-y) : Bending stress about the element's local y-axis (negative direction)
Bend(+z) : Bending stress about the element's local z-axis (positive direction)
Bend(-z) : Bending stress about the element's local z-axis (negative direction)
Cb(min/max) : Minimum or maximum value among Cb1, Cb2, Cb3, Cb4
Cb1(-y+z) : Axial+ Bend(-y) + Bend(+z)
Cb2(+y+z) : Axial+ Bend(+y) + Bend(+z)
Cb3(+y-z) : Axial+ Bend(+y) + Bend(-z)
Cb4(-y-z) : Axial+ Bend(-y) + Bend(-z)
In the analysis result table, the Stage and Step columns are displayed for bridge construction stage analysis or heat of hydration analysis. The Step column is also displayed for geometrically nonlinear analysis.
