[Uninstallation] Program uninstallation method_Ground

Question

I'm curious about the method of uninstalling the MIDAS program.

Answer

When uninstalling the MIDAS program, it is necessary to delete all related data and logs on the PC.

It is recommended to uninstall the previously installed MIDAS program before reinstalling or upgrading to a new version. Although the program installation process includes an automatic removal of the existing program, manually uninstalling it provides a more reliable method. This ensures a clean installation without any potential conflicts or remnants from the previous installation.

When uninstalling the program, you need to perform the deletion in three places: Control Panel, installation directory, and registry.

1. Type "Control Panel" in the taskbar search box and run it

2. In the program uninstallation feature, select the program you want to remove and uninstall it.

3. In the program uninstallation feature, select the program you want to remove and uninstall it.

Program Program installation location
GTS NX C:\Program Files\MIDAS
GEOXD C:\Program Files\MIDAS
SOILWORKS C:\Program Files (x86)\MIDAS

4. Type "Registry Editor" in the taskbar search box and run it.

5. In the opened Registry Editor, delete all program-related registry entries located at the 'Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MIDAS' path. You can also proceed with this step by using the [Execution] How to reset the registry

Program Related registry entries
GTS NX [GTS NX], [GTS NX (Protection)], [GFNX]
GEOXD [GeoXD], [NGeoX]
SOILWORKS [Soilworks], [Soilworks RE Wall], [Soilworks-Rock]

When using the Registry Editor, it is recommended to only modify the registry folders provided in the instructions and avoid making changes to other registry folders. Modifying other registry files can have an impact not only on the MIDAS program but also on the entire PC. Therefore, it is important to only make modifications as instructed above.
