[CIM/Rebar] An error occurs when creating reinforcement on the curved part of the upper flange of an I-beam.

Question

An error occurs when creating reinforcement on the curved part of the upper flange of an I-beam.

Answer

If the Bending Radius value of the rebar properties is reduced at the bent edge, the rebar can be created.

For a structure like the one shown in Figure 2, the default Bending Radius value of D16 rebar, 47.70mm (KDS Code, KR), is not sufficient to draw the rebar connected at that point, considering the bending shape. As a result, the rebar is not created.

In such cases, reducing the Bending Radius value allows the creation of the rebar at that location.

The following figures show the differences in shape according to the Bending Radius value.

However, this is a theoretical explanation for the case of creating rebars in the modeling process, and we would like to remind you that modeling should be done considering the Bending Radius value that can be used in actual construction.
