Function
- Enter the section dimensions including the covers and rebar data for RC column members to be applied to section check.
Call
From the main menu, select [Design] tab > [Type : RC Design] > [Rebar] group > [Rebar Input for Checking] > [Column Section]
Input
First, select the members in the model and enter the following data:
Section List
Select the column sections for strength check.
ID : Section numbers for which strength check will be carried out
NAME : Section Names for which strength check will be carried out
Bar : When the section dimensions and rebar data are entered for the column members being considered for strength check, "PO" will appear.
Click to modify the sectional shape and dimensions and display the Section for Design dialog box (refer to "Section for Design").
Section Data
(refer to (1))
Display the section data for the column members.
Shape : Sectional shape of the members
B : Width of the section
H : Height (depth) of the section (diameter in the case of a circular section)
Type of Hoop Rebar
Tied/sprial Rebar Size : Hoop rebar standard size
Tied/sprial Rebar Space : Space of the hoop rebars
Tied/sprial Rebar Number : Number of shear reinforcement legs
Rebar Data
Enter the reinforcing steel data for the section being considered for strength check
Layer : Number of layers for reinforcing placement
Pos1/Pos2/Pos3 : Positions of reinforcing steel (1~5)
Size1/Size2 : Sizes of main reinforcing bars (2 sizes possible)
Div. N : Number of rebars placed in the section
Dc : Cover distance from the surface to the center of the main reinforcing steel (refer to Note 2)
Add/Replace : Add the newly entered rebar data of the selected section or update the previously entered data.
Delete : Delete the entered rebar data of the selected section.
Cancel : Do not apply the entered data and close the dialog box

The dimensions entered for the analysis model determine the height (H) and width (B) of the rectangular sections (Shape = Rectangle). The sectional shape of the column members defined in the analysis model must be of such types as rectangle, circle, track or octagon. (refer to "Section for Design").
Call
From the Main Menu select Design > Section for Design

Enter the cover dimension of the main rebars placed in the column members. When the cover is not specified, (Dc = 0),strength check will not proceed.

The positions for each section shape are as follows:
Solid Round Void Round
Solid Rectangle Void Rectangle

When the rebar data are repeatedly entered for the same section, the values will be updated to the last values entered.
