Plate Beam Data for Design

Function

  • Enter the concrete covers and rebar data for RC Plate Beam to be applied to section design.

Call

From the main menu, select [Design] tab > [Type : RC Design] > [Rebar] group > [Rebar Input for Plate] > [Plate Beam Data for Design]

Input

Plate Member

Select the Sub-Domain Name, Plate Force Option and the Main Rebar Direction for design.

Sub-Domain Name : Predefined Sub-Domain which is defined as Plate Beam (1D) can be selected. Click ....png to Add/Modify Sub-Domain

NOTE.png Analysis result will be deleted if Sub-Domain is added or modified.

Plate Force Option

Element : Uses the Internal forces calculated at each node of selected elements.

Avg. Nodal : Uses the average internal nodal forces of the contiguous elements sharing the common nodes.

Main Rebar Direction

Dir.1 : The section is designed using the bending moment and shear force in Dir.1 defined in Sub-Domain.

Dir.2 : The section is designed using the bending moment and shear force in Dir.2 defined in Sub-Domain.

Stirrups Data

Size : Size of shear reinforcing steel

Number : Number of shear reinforcing steel per unit length

Covering Thickness

Dt : Cover distance from the top surface to the center of the main top reinforcing steel.

Db : Cover distance from the bottom surface to the center of the main bottom reinforcing steel.

NOTE.png Enter the cover dimensions of the main rebars placed in the outer layers of the beam members. When the covers are not specified, (Dt = 0, Db = 0), section design will not proceed.

Add : Add the newly entered data of the selected sub-domain.

Modify : Modify the previously entered data of the selected sub-domain. Design dialog is not closed when
modifying the data so that ‘Re-Calculation’ is possible without performing the design again.

Delete : Delete the previously entered data of the selected sub-domain.
