Design Code

Function

  • Enter the design code applicable for strength verification of SRC (Steel-Reinforced Concrete composite) members.

 

Call

From the main menu, select [Design] tab > [Type : SRC Design] > [Design Input Data] group > [Design Code Option]

 

Input

The following dialog box is used to enter the data:

 

Design Code

SRC design code (Default = SSRC79, refer to NOTE.png (1))

If the user does not specify the design code, the allowable stress design (A Specification for the Design of Steel-Concrete Column, 1979) of the American SSRC (Structural Stability Research Council) will be used.
The available SRC design codes are as follows :

- The allowable stress design of the American SSRC (Structural Stability Research Council) (SSRC79)

The allowable stress design of the American SSRC (SSRC79) can be applied for SRC composite column members.

 

When TWN-SRC92 is selected

 

Apply Special Provisions for Seismic Design

Select to apply Special Provisions for Seismic Design.
Apply the scale factors for shear in accordance with Special Provisions for Seismic Design.

Update By Code : Update the scale factors for shear by the selected Code.

Method : Select a method of applying the scale factors for shear.

Max(Vu1, Vu2) : Use the larger of the shear forces to which the scale factors for shear (a1, a2) are applied.

Min(Vu1, Vu2) : Use the smaller of the shear forces to which the scale factors for shear (a1, a2) are applied.

Vu1 : Use the shear forces to which the scale factor for shear, a1, is applied.

Vu2 : Use the shear forces to which the scale factor for shear, a2, is applied.
