Load Combination Type

Function

  • Select the load combinations to be considered for steel composite design and classify them under Strength, Service, Fatigue 1 and Fatigue 2 load combinations.
  • Load Combination Type is supported for AASHTO-LRFD, AS 5100.6, CSA-S6, SNiP 2.05.03-84*, SP 35.13330.2011, IRC: 22.

NOTE.png
1. Load combinations specified under 'Composite Steel Girder Design' tab only, is considered for composite design as per AASHTO code.
2. Auto generated load combinations are automatically classified under Strength, Service and Fatigue 1/2 combinations.

Call

From the main menu, select [Design] tab > [Type : Steel Composite Design] > [Design Input Data] group > [Design Parameters] > [Fatigue Load Combination Type]

Input

Load Combination List

Select the Load Combination which you want to consider for steel composite design. Load combination generated under 'Composite Steel Girder Design' tab only, appear in this list.

Strength Limit State

Select the load combinations classified for Strength Limit State as per Table 3.4.1-1 of AASHTO-LRFD 2012.

Service Limit State

Select the load combinations classified for Service Limit State as per Table 3.4.1-1 of AASHTO-LRFD 2012.

Fatigue 1 Limit State

Select the load combinations classified for Fatigue 1 Limit State as per Table 3.4.1-1 of AASHTO-LRFD 2012. Fatigue 1 load combination is used for infinite life design.

Fatigue 2 Limit State

Select the load combinations classified for Fatigue 2 Limit State as per Table 3.4.1-1 of AASHTO-LRFD 2012. Fatigue 2 load combination is used for finite life design.
