Function
- Select the members for which design will be performed and enter check positions. If Design Position is not entered, the program does not perform the design for any member.
Call
From the main menu, select [Design] tab > [Type : Steel Composite Design] > [Design Input Data] group > [Design Position] > [Design Position]
Input
First, select the members in the model and enter the following:
Design Position Dialog Box
Option
Add/Replace : Add/Replace the design option to the selected element for design
Delete : Delete the design option defined previously for the selected element
Element Type
Element : Apply the design position to the selected element(s).
Virtual Beam : Apply the design position to the selected virtual beam(s). Available when virtual beams are defined in the model.
Check Position
I : Design is carried out only for the I-end of the selected member.
J : Design is carried out only for the J-end of the selected member.
I & J : Design is carried out for both I and J-ends of the selected member.
