Damage Equivalence Factor

Function

  • Enter the Damage Equivalence Factors to assess fatigue for the headed stud.
  • The fatigue assessment for reinforcement, concrete and structural steel is not supported.
  • Fatigue assessment is carried out based on damage equivalence factor, λv.
  • Fatigue Load Model 3 of EN 1991-2: 2003, 4.6 needs to be applied for verification of fatigue resistance.
  • The longitudinal shear per unit length for stud shear connectors is calculated by the program.

Call

From the main menu, select [Design] tab > [Type : Steel Composite Design] > [Design Input Data] group > [Design Parameters] > [Damage Equivalence Factors(Plate Girder Only)]

Input

First, select the members in the model and enter the following data:

Both end parts (I & j) have the same shear connector : Check the box if the lateral torsional buckling data is entered under I tab, an identical data will be automatically entered under J tab.
