Function
- Use this function to modify a part of the steel, concrete and rebar material property data entered during the creation of the analysis model or to change the entered material property data suitable for assessment. Modifications that are made here will not affect the analysis results, but will only be used for assessment and resistance verification.
Call
From the main menu, select [Rating] tab > [Type : Steel Bridge] > [Assessment Code : CS454/20] > [Assessment Input Data] group > [Modify Material] > [Modify Composite Material]
Input
The following dialog box is used to enter the data:
Material List
Display the steel, concrete and rebar material properties entered during the creation of the analysis model. Select the material property to be modified or changed.
Composite Material Selection
Display the selected material properties and modify/change the material property data. The material property data can be changed by using the material property database built-in the program or by directly entering the changed data.
Procedure for using the material property database
Select the relevant code and the material name with the mouse.
The reinforcing steel bar standards are specified similar to the concrete standards and may be changed by the user if necessary. That is, the concrete and rebar standards need not be the same.
Direct entry by the user
Select 'None' in the Code field and enter the name of the material to be used in the Name field. Then, each data field is activated and the following material property data can be entered:
Steel Material Selection
Code : Select a structural steel standard
Es : Modulus of elasticity of steel
Fu : Tensile strength of steel
Fy : Yield strength of steel for different plate thickness
Concrete Material Selection
Code : Select a concrete standard
Grade : Select a material code
Specified Compressive Strength (f'c/fck) : Design compressive cubic strength of concrete
Reinforcement Selection
Code : Select standard for rebar
Grade of Main Rebar : Grade of main rebars
Fyr : Yield strength of main rebars
Grade of Sub-Rebar : Grade of sub-rebars (shear rebars)
Fys : Yield strength sub-rebars (shear rebars)
: Update the previously defined material data.
: Do not enter the selection and close the dialog box.
