Laterally Unbraced Length

Function

  • Input the Laterally Unbraced Length that is used to calculate lateral torsional buckling resistance in the compression flange of I Girder or top flange of Tub Girder.

NOTE.png
If the laterally unbraced length is not entered, the span length obtained from Span Information will be applied for the laterally unbraced length. If the Span Information data are not defined either, the corresponding element length will be used as the laterally unbraced length. The value input here has higher priority than the value obtained from Span Information or the element length.
