Effective Breadth by Shear Lag

Function

  • Input the Effective Breadth by Shear Lag data that is used to calculate effective section properties.

 

Call

From the main menu, select [Rating] tab > [Type : Steel Bridge] > [Assessment Code : CS454/20] > [Assessment Input Data] group > [Assessment Parameters] > [Effective Breadth by Shear Lag]

 

Input

Select elements in the model view and click OK button to input the Effective Breadth by Shear Lag data.


Target Element

Select an element for which the effective breadth data will be entered. Selected elements are highlighted.


Copy Data to...

Select an element that contains effective breadth data and copy the data to other elements.

List : List of elements

Selected List : Elements to which the effective breadth data will be copied.


Same Data at i & j-end

Check on the option to apply the same data to sections at both ends of an element if the effective breadth is the same for both sections.


Effective Breadth

Slab : Enter the effective breadth of the concrete slab.

Top Flange : Enter the effective breadth of a flange at the top of a section.

Bottom Flange : Enter the effective breadth of a flange at the bottom of a section.
