Prestress Loads Table

Function

  • Enter or modify Prestress Loads for beam elements in a spreadsheet format table.
  • Table Tool in Gen NX is powerful and contains a large variety of built-in functions. Refer to the following items for detail directions:

Call

From the Main Menu select [Load] tab > [Type : Prestress] > [Load Tables] group > [Prestress Load] > [Prestress Loads Table]

Refer to Usage of Table Tool and enter or modify the following data:

 

Elem : Element (number) on which a prestress load exerts

Loadcase : Load case name associated with the prestress load

Load Type : Prestress load type

Post-tension : Prestressing effects transmitted to adjacent members

Pre-stress : Prestressing has no effects on adjacent members

Tension : Pretension Force (always positive)

Distance i : Cable Drape at the start node (i-end) of the beam element in Element local ?z-direction

Distance m : Cable Drape at the center of the beam element in Element local ?z-direction

Distance j : Cable Drape at the end node (j-end) of the beam element in Element local ?z-direction

Group : Name of Load Group
