Call

From the Main Menu select [Properties] tab > [Tables] group > [Property Tables] > [Material Table]

Shortcut key : [Ctrl]+[Alt]+L

Input

(Refer to "Material")

Refer to Usage of Table Tool to enter or modify the following data :

ID : Material number

Name : Material name

Type :  Material type

Code : Standard material specifications

Code Name : Specific material specifications

Elasticity (Force/Area) : Modulus of Elasticity

Poisson : Poisson's ratio

Thermal(1/[T] ) : Thermal expansion coefficient

Density (Force/Length3) : Weight per unit volume

Sp. Heat (BTU/Force•[T] ) : The ratio of thermal energy required to raise the temperature of a body 1° to the thermal energy required to raise an equal mass of water 1°

Heat Conduction (BTU/Length•Time•[T] : Conduction Coefficient

The property of a material to conduct heat in the form of thermal energy.

Conduction is the process by which heat flows within a medium or between different mediums in direct contact. The energy is transmitted by molecular communication.

Material Type : Select Isotropic or Orthotropic material type.

Note 1

If SRC materials are entered, RC data are saved in the Code2 and Code Name 2 fields.

Note 2

When Orthotropic is selected as User Defined material type, (Shear Mod_xy, _yz, _xz), (Elastic_y, Elastic_z), (Poission_xy, Poassion_yz) and (Thermal_y, Thermal_z) can be separately defined in y & z direction of Element Coordinate System.
