The CIM V200 Hotfix 3.0 version was processed for distribution in China, while Hotfix 4.0 will be distributed in Korea and globally.

[Stiffener] Improved Allocation Logic through Sweep Lock Option

Members with curved shapes, such as steel arch members, need to be placed according to the designer’s intent, offering various options.
CIM V200 provides a Sweep Lock option to place members according to the path and direction settings. In V200 Hotfix 3.0, the allocation logic was improved to precisely place the arch ribs of curves

[Diaphragm] Improved Rotation Direction Logic when Placing Diaphragms with Plane Offset on Curved Alignments

Diaphragms modeled in Curve Library Mode should be placed at a consistent interval from the start and end points according to the input value of the Plane Offset option.
The basic placement logic was improved to ensure that the direction of rotation is maintained in the Normal direction of the path.

[Modeling] General Member ⇾ Assign Using Sweep Lock Option

The General Member feature has been revamped to facilitate the creation of objects by applying cross-sections along a path. The Sweep Lock option allows control of the cross-section's rotation axis, enabling the creation of various 3D shapes such as arches.

[Modeling] Curve Library ⇾ Assign Using Sweep Lock Option

In Base Mode, Tangential, Parallel, and Sweep Lock options have been added to the Curve Library Assign - By Select method, allowing control over the resulting shape of the Curve Library assignment.

Additionally, during the assignment of the Curve Library to the Sub Path within an Assembly Unit, you can now choose between Unconstrained, Tangential, and Parallel options.

[Modeling] Added Line Type Member Creation Function ⇾ (User Section Mode)

To facilitate the modeling of thin members specialized for steel bridges, CIM V200 has incorporated the creation of Line Type Members in addition to the existing Plane Type. Modeling is conducted by assigning thickness to line objects, prioritizing Section Lines during modeling to ensure proper application of Fitting tools and targets.

For detailed information, please refer to the manual.

[Modeling] Added Diaphragm Stiffener & Manhole Creation Function

In most steel bridge design plans where diaphragms are applied, horizontal and vertical stiffeners and manholes are essential. Just as rebar modeling is emphasized in concrete bridges, CIM V200 has incorporated the creation functions for diaphragm stiffeners and manholes to simplify the modeling of steel bridges.

For detailed information, please refer to the manual.

[Modeling] Haunch

In concrete structure planning, haunches or chamfers are prescribed to ensure smooth stress transfer in sections where the direction of stress changes abruptly due to sectional forces.

In CIM V200, during the creation of 3D models, the software has been developed to allow the addition of haunches or the flexible application of section sizes according to design plans without predefining these haunches.

For detailed information, please refer to the manual.

[Field Data] Field Viewer

In CIM V190, an environment for Field Data, which allows embedding information into objects, was established. In the latest CIM V200, a Field Viewer has been provided to allow users to view custom-entered Field Data through a separate popup window.

The inherent Geometry Data of objects can be checked as Basic Property, while custom-entered information, such as Object Breakdown Structure (OBS), can be displayed separately as Property Data and Quantity Data.

Additionally, you can directly access the Field Viewer by clicking on the symbol that appears after selecting a created object.

For detailed information, please refer to the manual.

[Field Set] Text Format Import

As a BIM model serves as an information model, it requires the input and management of a vast amount of information. While CIM V190 established a system for containing information, CIM V200 enhances related functionalities and introduces new user convenience features.

Field Set allows users to edit extensive information forms using editing tools similar to Excel and enables batch creation through CSV file imports.

[Field Data] Object Group

The model of a structure is composed of multiple object units. For instance, modeling a bridge structure involves combining smaller units such as foundations, columns, and copings.

To assign management information to such structured models, CIM V200 allows management information to be assigned not only to individual objects like foundations, columns, and copings, but also to the structure as a whole.

One method of utilization is through the Object Group feature, which groups objects together. This allows information to be assigned to the model as a whole. Additionally, when models are exported in IFC file format, grouped models can be managed at the group level.

For detailed information, please refer to the manual.

[IFC Export] Improvements Including GUID Preservation

Files with the IFC extension appear in the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) file format, which sets international standards for importing and exporting objects and their properties for components. To ensure compatibility between different software applications, it is essential to support the latest IFC versions specified by buildingSMART International.

In the previous CIM V190, development and integration were carried out to enable exporting to the latest IFC version, IFC4.3. In CIM V200, ongoing improvements have been made to ensure that even if properties of the model change, their unique GUIDs are preserved.

Moving forward, for clients utilizing CIM, support for the latest maintenance of the IFC file format, which is crucial for BIM model compatibility, will be continued.

[IFC Export] Support for IFC Multi Schema

The IFC Export option has been enhanced to support both IFC4 and IFC4×3.

[IFC Export] Performance Improvement in IFC Export

In comparison to CIM V190, the average file creation speed in IFC Export has been improved by approximately sixfold, enhancing usability.mceclip0.png

[Convenience] Save in Mode (File Saving in Library Mode)

Previously, in CIM models, file saving was restricted to Base Mode only, causing inconvenience. To address this issue, in CIM V200, it is now possible to save files while working in Library Mode. Even after closing the program, when reopening the file, users can continue their modeling work in Library Mode from the last saved state.

Furthermore, the speed of Mode Open processes for file reopening has been improved by approximately twofold on average.

[Convenience] Addition of Texture Images

To apply various material effects, CIM V200 has incorporated nine new texture images, allowing them to be applied to models.

[Convenience] Addition of Graphics File Export

To enhance the usability of models created in CIM, the range of files that can be exported as Graphics Files has been expanded. Export to Wavefront OBJ format (.obj), GL Transmission Format (binary) (.glb), and Autodesk FBX (binary) (*.fbx) is now possible.
