Summary
- This feature creates guide paths.
How to Run
- Ribbon Menu > [Base] Tab > [Layout] Group > Layout > Guide Path
Explanation
By Station Method
Enter the station value and the offset value at that location to create a guide path.
Note
Guide paths can be used to create variable models where the road border changes along with changing section width.
[Select Layout]
Select the layout to use as reference for guide path placement.
[Horizontal Offset]
Enter the station and its offset to create a guide path. The created guide path is dependent on its layout.
The guide path is recreated along the layout while maintaining the entered station and offset when the layout is moved, or geometry is changed.
By Select Method
Select an existing wire body to use its geometry for creating a guide path.
Note
Guide paths can be used to create variable models where the road border changes along with changing section width.
[Select Layout]
Select the layout to use as reference for guide path placement.
[Select Wire Body]
When creating a Guide Path, select the Wire Body object from which to extract the shape. If the Wire Body exceeds the path of the layout, a Guide Path is created after cutting out the range that exceeds the path of the layout.
When the layout is moved or the shape is changed, the station and offset entered in the changed position and shape are kept, and the Guide Path is regenerated according to the layout.
By Offset Method
Create a copy of an existing guide path at an offset.
Note
Guide paths can be used to create variable models where the road border changes along with changing section width.
[Select Guide Path]
Select the guide path object to copy at an offset.
[Offset Distance]
Enter the offset distance.
By Division Method
Create a guide path by dividing an existing guide path into segments.
Note
Guide paths can be used to create variable models where the road border changes along with changing section width.
[Select Layout]
Select a pre-existing Guide Path.
[Range]
Enter the area for creating the Guide Path based on the station .
[Number of Divisions]
Enter the number of divisions between the two selected Guide Paths.
For example, if you enter "5," four additional Guide Paths will be created to divide the area between the two Guide Paths into five sections..
[Accuracy Angle]
Determine the division points along the curve based on the set angle.
To accurately reflect planar linear curves, set the Accuracy Angle to its minimum value..
