Diaphragm Stiffener

Summary

  • Draw Diaphragm Stiffeners on the Closed Stiffener plane (Draw Plane).

 

 

How to Run

[Draw Diaphragm Mode]

  • Ribbon Menu > [Stiffener] Group > Draw Diaphragm > Diaphragm Stiffener

 

 

Explanation

Explain the two methods for creating diaphragm stiffeners.

[Select Edge] & [Select Vertex]

 

Diaphragm Stiffener Creation Methods [Select Edge]

Create diaphragm stiffeners using the Select Edge method.

 

Select Edge / Define Direction : Direction Vector Explanation

[Draw Type]

Select the method for creating the stiffeners to be drawn.

Select Edge

 

[Select Edge]

Select the edge of the Closed Stiffener.
If the edges are connected, continuous stiffeners can be created.

 

[Define Direction]

Direction Vector

Enter the direction vector and create the stiffener offset in the creation direction from the selected edge.
Using the direction vector method, the stiffener is created using the Copy method as shown in the figure below.

 

 

The direction vector can only be entered in the Y and Z directions of the section.

 

[Distance]

Enter the distance to offset from the edge.

Select the method for creating the stiffeners to be drawn.

Select the edge of the Closed Stiffener.
If the edges are connected, continuous stiffeners can be created.

Diaphragm Stiffener Creation Method [Select Vertex]

Create stiffeners based on two vertices.

[Draw Type]

Select the method for creating the stiffeners to be drawn.

[Select Vertex]

Point 1, 2 : Select the edge vertices of the Closed Stiffener as reference points for creating the stiffener.

 

[Offset]

None : Create the stiffener in an arbitrary direction.

Horizontal : Create the stiffener with a horizontal direction.

Vertical : Create the stiffener with a vertical direction.

Horizontal (Start)
: The horizontal distance from Point 1 vertex is displayed and can be modified.

Vertical (Start)
: The vertical distance from Point 1 vertex is displayed and can be modified.

Horizontal (End)
: The horizontal distance from Point 2 vertex is displayed and can be modified.

Vertical (Start)
: The vertical distance from Point 2 vertex is displayed and can be modified.

Horizontal Stiffener Creation Method

Select Vertex : Select Point 1 and Point 2 using the selection tool on the main panel as shown in the image.

Offset : Select Horizontal Type

Horizontal (Start) : Enter 0(mm).
Entering a positive value specifies a position farther in the horizontal direction from Point 1.

Vertical (Start) : Enter -500(mm).
Specifies a position offset 500 mm downward from Point 1 and Point 2.

Horizontal (End) : Enter 0(mm).
Entering a negative value specifies a position farther in the horizontal direction from Point 2.

 

Vertical Stiffener Creation Method

Select Vertex : Select Point 1 and Point 2 using the selection tool on the main panel as shown in the image.

Offset : Select Vertical Type.

Horizontal (Start) : Enter 500(mm).
Specifies a position offset 500 mm to the right from Point 1 and Point 2.

Vertical (Start) : Enter 0(mm).
Entering a negative value specifies a position farther in the vertical direction from Point 1.

Vertical (End) : Enter 0(mm).
Entering a positive value specifies a position farther in the vertical direction from Point 2.
