Summary

  • Set the degree of freedom of the slave vertex dependent to the master vertex.

 

 

How to Run

  • Ribbon Menu > [Model] Tab > [Analysis] Group > Link > Rigid

 

 

Explanation

Vertex to Vertex

This feature creates a rigid link by setting a vertex dependent to another vertex.

[Method]

Select vertex to vertex.

 

[Select Target]

Set the degree of freedom of the selected slave vertex dependent to the master vertex.

 

[Degrees of Freedom]

Select the type of degree of freedom to apply to the master vertex.

Rigid : Select rigid properties.

User Defined : Select user defined degree of freedom.

 

Vertex to 1D Member

This feature creates a rigid link by setting a vertex dependent to a 1D member.

Select the Vertex to 1D Member.

 

Select Target]

Select a vertex and the 1D member.

 

[Degrees of Freedom]

Select the type of degree of freedom to apply to the master vertex.

Rigid : Rigid properties

User Defined : Select user defined degree of freedom.

 

[Master Point]

Select whether the vertex or the 1D member is the master.

 

1D Member to 2D Member

This feature creates a rigid link by setting a 1D member dependent to a 2D member.

Select the 1D Member to 2D Member.

 

[Select Target]

Select a 1D member and a 2D member.

 

[Define Direction]

Set the direction of the rigid link.

Shortest Direction : The shortest distance between two object.

Direction Vector : Enter the direction manually.

 

[Degrees of Freedom]

Select the type of degree of freedom to apply to the master vertex.

Rigid : Select rigid properties.

User Defined : Select user defined degree of freedom.

 

[Master Point]

Select whether the 1D member or the 2D member is the master.
