Plane

Summary

  • Create a plane object.

How to Run

  • Ribbon Menu > [Feature] Tab > [Create] Group > Surface > Plane

Explanation

By Draw Method

Define a closed line to create a plane.

[Method]
Select the By Draw method.

[Draw]

Use the Sketch tool to create a surface on the screen.

Note
Reference - Sketch

Note
Click tab to manually input the length.

[Level of Split]
Set the criteria for grouping the created planes into a single face.

None : All created planes are grouped into a single Face.

By Isolation : Groups only the created planes that share a point or a line into a single Face.

By Face : All created planes are turned into individual Faces.

Detailed Explanation (Level of Split)

When Transverse is selected from the Moving Load Code

[Auto Extension Ratio]

When the start and end points do not match perfectly, the length is extended automatically to create a closed line.

[Option]

Set the options to use when using Surface(Plane) feature.

Consider Inner Hole : Sets the application method when creating a region over another region.

Merge Colinear Edge : Sets whether multiple edges on the same straight line are merged into a single edge if multiple edges are created on the straight line.

Detailed Explanation (Merge Colinear Edge)

When Transverse is selected from the Moving Load Code

When the edge creation process is stopped, as shown above, multiple edges are created on the same straigt line. In this case, set whether to merge the multiple edges into a single edge on the straight line.

Merge Colinear Edge On : As shown in the example above, the edges are merged into a triangle with three sides.

Merge Colinear Edge Off (Default) : As shown in the example above, a rectangle with four sides is created without merging the edges.

By Select Method

Select the existing lines to form a closed line and use it to create a plane.

[Level of Split]

Sets the criteria by which the created planes are bound to one face.

None : All created planes are grouped into a single Face.

By Isolation : Groups only the created planes that share a point or a line into a single Face.

By Face : All created planes are turned into individual Faces.
