Sweep

Summary

  • Sweep-translate the object along the selected path.

How to Run

  • Ribbon Menu > [Edit] Tab > [Translate] Group > Sweep

Explanation

By Distance Method

A method to sweep-translate an object by inputting the starting point and distance of the sweep.

Copy Switch : When on and using the sweep-translate feature, the object is copied and created at the location along the path.

[Select Target]

Copy Switch : When on and using the sweep-translate feature, the object is copied and created at the location along the path.

[Select Path]

Select the path to which the selected object will sweep-translate.

[Method]

By Distance : By entering a distance, the target object sweep-translates along the path from the Start Point to the distance entered.

By 2 Points : By selecting two points on the selected path, the target object sweep-translates along the path between the two points.

[Path Range]

After clicking the Pick Start Point button, select the starting point of the range for which the target object will sweep-translate along the path.

[Distance]

Enter the total distance of the sweep-translate that the target object will follow from the starting point.

Detailed Explanation (Alignment)

Set the direction/orientation in which the object is placed while moving along the path.

Follow Horizontal Path Axis : Set whether to apply the Local coordinate system of the path in the XY plane direction.

Off : The object's local coordinate system does not change as the path's local coordinate system changes.

On : According to the change of the local coordinate system of the path, the object's local coordinate system is changed (while maintaining the relative value).

Follow Vertical Path Axis : Set whether to apply the local coordinate system of the path in the Z-axis direction.

Detailed Explanation (Rotation Center)

Set the center point of rotation that occurs when the object's local coordinate system changes according to the local coordinate system change of the path.

Target (Default) : Rotate along the center point of the target object.

Path : Rotate along the path.
