Summary
The longitudinal cross section (Elevation) of a structure, which is one of the components of a drawing, is expressed by straightening it.
By Curve is a function that creates a cross section by automatically straightening a curved horizontal linear map or longitudinal cross section (Elevation).
The name of the function commonly used in CIM is called Curved Drawing.
How to Run
Base Mode [By Layout]
• Ribbon Menu > [Application] Tab > [Drawing] Group > Drawing view > By Curve
Explanation
How to use By Curve (Curved Drawing).
This process defines a cross section so that an elevation drawing can be drawn using a CAD ID with the By Curve function.
[Execute]
The By Curve function in Base Mode can be executed in the Drawing view of the [Drawing] group under the [Application] tab..
The condition for executing the function is that the model must be assigned to the Base Mode with the layout.
[Settings]
Run CAD ID
If you click the OK or Apply button after defining the By Curve function, this function calls up the CAD ID immediately.
Classificatione
Defines the name of the cross section created with By Curve.
The default name is “Curved Section 1”.
[Select Target]
Select objects by type to be added to the cross section to be created with By Curve.
Member
Concrete and steel objects can be filtered and selected.
Rebar
Rebar objects can be filtered and selected.
Tendon
Tendon objects can be filtered and selected.
Terrain Surface
Ground Surface and Boring Surface model objects can be filtered and selected.
Slope Surface
Fill & Cut Slope model objects can be filtered and selected.
[Define Path]
Specifies the path that serves as the basis for By Curve (Curved Drawing).
By Layout
Specifies Segment or Layout as the path.
By Select
Specifies a single Wire (Line) object as the path.
[View Setting]
Set the flattened section of By Curve (Curved drawing).
Plane Direction
Specifies the direction of the cross section for the Curved drawing.
Sectioning Angle
Defines the angle used to divide the Curved drawing. Smaller values increase precision but may affect performance.
Activate Depth
Option to display objects within the visible range centered on the Define Path, including the elevation section.
