Cutting View [CAD ID]

Summary

Create an additional section in CAD ID on the section created from CIM.

Ribbon Menu > [INFRA-DESIGN] Tab > View > Cutting View > Cutting View [CV]

 

Explanation

How to use cutting view

Execute cutting view from the tree menu or enter the shortcut key CV in the command window.

Step.1

[Command]

Prefix Text <Section&gt : Section
: The value in <> shows the currently set Prefix.
Set the Prefix as the title and set the numbering order according to the settings. (EX. Section1., Section2, Section3….)

Number[Alphabet(A)/Number(N)/Manual(M)] <A> :
: Displays prefixes followed by numbers or alphabets, depending on the setting of this option.
The value after the last number or alphabet used is automatically appended. If Manual is selected, the user enters it directly.

Section Name <Section A-A> Section A-A
: The value in <> indicates the Section Name to be cut.
This step allows the user to decide which name will eventually be applied.


Step.2

Specify first point :
Specifies the first point of the location to be sectioned.

Specify next point :
Specifies the next point of the location to be sectioned.

Select direction and view range :
This is the process of specifying the direction and range to be displayed in section.
The direction of the visible range refers to the direction in which the section is viewed, and the visible range indicates the range that includes the information of the section

Define intertion point <0,0> :
Specify the insertion point directly in the workspace using the mouse.

Create a section using the cutting view function.

CAD ID Cutting Section is created with the width of the section only as much as the size of the front and rear visible range set when cutting the view in CIM.
For example, in the image below, if you create a view with a size of 20m by combining the front and back visible ranges in the Cutting Box, and additionally cut a section in the CAD ID, a section as long as the length included in the visible range is created.
