Dimension [CAD ID] Created Edited

Linear/Aligned/Arc/Radius/Diameter/Angle Dimension

Summary

This dimension function is only available in CIM View Mode.
If you set this dimension feature on a section, the dimensions will update as the section changes, even if the section is updated. Additionally, these dimensional features can be copied to other objects via Smart Match.

How to Run

[CIM View Mode]

Ribbon Menu > [INFRA-DESIGN] Tab > Dimension >
Linear Dimension [ LD] / Aligned Dimension [ AD] / Arc Length Dimension [ ALD] / Radius [ RDD] /
Diameter [ DID] / Angle [ AND] / User Dimension [ UCD]

Explanation

How to use dimensions

Detailed dimension functions can be executed for dimensions either through the respective dimension commands or from the INFRA-DESIGN menu tab.

Linear Dimension [Shortcut key : LD]
: This is a linear dimension creation function created in the orthogonal direction based on the CAD workspace X and Y planes.

[Command]

Specify first extension line origin :
Select the first point to create the dimension.

Specify second extension line origin :
Pick a second point to create the dimension.

Specify dimension line location :
Specify the position for creating dimensions with the mouse or enter the length value in the Command dialog.
When creating a continuous dimension, select the next point where the dimension will be created.

Aligned Dimension [Shortcut key : AD]
: This is an aligned dimension creation function created by connecting two arbitrary points.

Arc Length Dimension [Shortcut key : ALD]
: This is a function to create arc length dimensions to display the arc length.

[Command]

Select object :
Select a Member to represent the arc length.

Specify dimension line location :
Point the mouse in the direction you want the dimension to appear.

Radius [Shortcut key : RDD]
: This is a function to create a radius dimension to display the radius.

[Command]

Select object :
Select a Member to represent the radius.

Specify dimension line location :
Point the mouse in the direction you want the dimension to appear.

Diameter [Shortcut key : DID]
: This is the function to create a diameter dimension to indicate the diameter.

[Command]

Select object :
Select a Member to represent the diameter.

Specify dimension line location :
Point the mouse in the direction you want the dimension to appear.

Angle [Shortcut key : AND]
: This is a function to create angle dimensions to display angles.

[Command]

Specify first extension line origin :
Select the first point to create the dimension. (Select Member edge)

Specify second extension line origin :
Pick a second point to create the dimension. (Select Member edge)

Specify dimension line location :
Point the mouse in the direction you want the dimension to appear.

User Custom [Shortcut key : UCD]
: This is a user dimension creation function that allows you to immediately display arc lengths, etc.
Similar to an arc length dimension, but expressed as a length dimension without the arc symbol.

[Command]

Select object :
Select an object for creating dimensions. (Select Member Edge)

Specify first extension line origin :
Select the first point to create the dimension.

Specify second extension line origin :
Pick a second point to create the dimension.

Specify dimension line location :
Point the mouse in the direction you want the dimension to appear.
