[CIM] How to change orientation of user planes in CIM?

Question

How to change orientation of user planes in CIM ?

Answer

The model space in CIM is a 3D plane based modelling environment. This means the objects modelled are based on the combination of vertices, edges, and planes. To ease the modelling methods, reference planes are provided in CIM. These reference planes follow the concept of isometric geometries. Namely the Side, Top, and the Front (F) plane.
Users can often toggle amongst these planes for quick and precise modelling.
Let us know more about the methods to change the orientation of these user planes in CIM.

Below is the image of interface

Here, in image above, the box highlighted in red at the right bottom of the model space is the 3D view cube in CIM. This denotes alphabets as "S"(side) "F"(front) "T"(top).
For functions like, Measure, Copy it is frequently necessary to change the orientation of the planes.
Now, while working in CIM, for snapping and utilizing the planes with an ease, the steps to follow are shown below.
The default snapping shall be displayed in the model space as shown below.
Here, the box highlighted in red denotes Top Plane (T) as the face of the plane. Now to change the same from Top to Side,

Step 1- Use the keyboard button S. The result is shown below.

The text denotes Side Plane (S) in the box highlighted in red. The cursor snapping changes from top to side.
Similarly, change the face of the plane from Side to Front,

Step 2- Use the keyboard button F. The result is shown below.

The text denotes Front Plane (F) in the box highlighted in red. The cursor snapping changes from side to front.
With this method, users can easily change orientation of planes.
