Concrete Material Set EN1992-1-1

Intro

This plug-in automates the input of concrete material properties and time-dependent behavior calculations (creep, shrinkage) based on EN 1992-1-1 standards. It provides visualization tools to validate design parameters and ensures compliance with Eurocode specifications.

Applicable standards

  • EN 1992-1-1
  • EN 1992-2-1

Benefits of this plugin

  • Standards Compliance: Fully aligns with EN 1992-1-1 for material and time-dependent property calculations.
  • Visual Validation: Graphs display critical outputs like creep coefficients, shrinkage strains, and stress-strain curves for accuracy checks.
  • Efficiency: Eliminates manual calculations for compressive/tensile strength, elastic modulus, and time-dependent effects.

How to use this plugin?

Concrete Tab

  1. Select Concrete Grade and input partial factorConcrete-1.png
  2. Select stress-strain relation of concrete and check the diagramConcrete-2.png
  3. Click Additional Information to check details.Concrete-3.png

Time-Dependent Tab

  1. Input Time-Dependent properties.Concrete-4.png
  2. Select items to show as a diagram; Creep coefficients, Shirinkage strain, Mean compressive strength, Mean tensile strength, and Elastic modulus.

Note

    • EN 1992-2 Support: This code can be selected for input storage, but no calculations are performed.
    • MIDAS CIVIL NX Integration: Calculated time-dependent properties (e.g., creep coefficients) do not auto-apply to your model. You must manually input these values.
    • Input Validation: Ensure all entered values (e.g., concrete age, humidity) align with EN 1992-1-1 requirements.
