Intro
This plug-in automates the input of concrete material properties and time-dependent behavior calculations (creep, shrinkage) based on EN 1992-1-1 standards. It provides visualization tools to validate design parameters and ensures compliance with Eurocode specifications.
Applicable standards
- EN 1992-1-1
- EN 1992-2-1
Benefits of this plugin
- Standards Compliance: Fully aligns with EN 1992-1-1 for material and time-dependent property calculations.
- Visual Validation: Graphs display critical outputs like creep coefficients, shrinkage strains, and stress-strain curves for accuracy checks.
- Efficiency: Eliminates manual calculations for compressive/tensile strength, elastic modulus, and time-dependent effects.
How to use this plugin?
Concrete Tab
- Select Concrete Grade and input partial factor
- Select stress-strain relation of concrete and check the diagram
- Click Additional Information to check details.
Time-Dependent Tab
- Input Time-Dependent properties.
- Select items to show as a diagram; Creep coefficients, Shirinkage strain, Mean compressive strength, Mean tensile strength, and Elastic modulus.
3. You can check details by clicking Additional Info. button.
Note
-
- EN 1992-2 Support: This code can be selected for input storage, but no calculations are performed.
- MIDAS CIVIL NX Integration: Calculated time-dependent properties (e.g., creep coefficients) do not auto-apply to your model. You must manually input these values.
- Input Validation: Ensure all entered values (e.g., concrete age, humidity) align with EN 1992-1-1 requirements.
