Benefits of this plugin

In order to design a structure, we model and interpret the structure from a specific coordinate axis.

The coordinate axis uses the Global Axis by default, but if the member has a parametric shape, it uses the input and result values using the Local Axis to check the load and member force.

In the existing analysis program, the rotation values of the two axes had to be obtained and applied to change from Global Axis to Local Axis.

However, this plug-in simply calculates all nodes that select a value for the Local Axis at the same time, and enters the value directly into the operation and program for the value that is rotated.

How to use this plugin?

[Local Axis - Cubic Spline Setting]

  • By running the plug-in, the user can set the Type selection (1) of the Cubic Spline and the Node to which the Local Axis is applied (2) after that, the Local Axis will be applied (3) in the modeling. In addition, the user can check the shape of the Spline in real time with the graph (4).
  • The Spline button (2) visually shows the difference between the Spline.

  • *Be careful : Import Node (3) is imported by direct selection from CIVIL NX modeling and must be executed through the Import Node button, and the plug-in will only get information about the X-Y plane.
    In addition, Spline is only created in the positive (+) direction of the X-Axis.
  • *Be careful : The Start Point and End Point are applied to calculate the start and end angles of the Cubic Spline (1) and operate only on Clamped Cubic Spline.
