Question
What are the properties of Spiral rebar and how to define them in CIM?
Answer
In CIM, Spiral rebar is a type of reinforcement primarily used in circular or cylindrical structural members like columns and piles. The key properties of spiral rebar include bar diameter, pitch (which defines the vertical distance between consecutive spirals), number of turns, and overall height. These parameters collectively control the geometry and spacing of the reinforcement.
To define Spiral rebar in CIM, you need to go to Model ribbon > Rebar > Spiral Rebar.
In the property panel, specify the bar size, pitch, number of turns, and other relevant properties. Once these are defined, you can assign the rebar to the required section or model element.
