[CIM] How can a user start the bridge alignment from a specific point instead of the origin in CIM?

Question

How can a user start the bridge alignment from a specific point instead of the origin in CIM?

Answer

Follow the steps below to define the alignment at a specific point in the model window.

In the Base mode of CIM, go to Base Ribbon menu.

Step 1: Under the Layout dropdown menu, select the Create-Edit option

A menu panel, along with a layout sub-panel, will be displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Under the Start location sub-section, assign the  Origin Point location in the X and Y direction.

For our example, we will assign the Origin X value as 250 meters and Origin Y value as 150 meters, also we will keep the length of alignment as 30 meters.

Verification: In the Horizontal Segment tab, you’ll notice the starting X and Y coordinate values are now updated as per your specified location.

Step 3: At the bottom of the menu panel, click on  button to model the alignment, which starts from specified point in model.
