How to import Google Earth file into CIM?

 

Answer

Follow the steps below to import the Google Earth (.KMZ) file into CIM.

 

Note: To import KMZ/KML file into CIM, the geographic location of that file must be defined in the CIM project file. Unless you define the geographic coordinates in CIM, the KMZ/KML file will not get imported.

Step 1: Go to the CIM icon, located at the top-left corner of CIM

 

Step 2: Click on the Import option

Step 3: Select the KMZ/KML file option

 

A menu panel shall be displayed on the left of the modelling window.

Step 4: Click on    icon 

 

An open file dialogue box shall be displayed.

Step 5: Navigate to the File location and select the desired KMZ file

Step 6: Click on the Open button
