Answer

While creating a plane in a Curve Library, under the 'Skew' section, we have the 'Rotate Plane by Skew' option. This option is used to rotate the end faces of the members in the Curve Library according to the skew angle defined in the alignment.

If the 'Rotate Plane by Skew' option is checked on for a particular plane, then the face of the member at that plane will rotate according to the skew angle defined in the layout. If the option is checked off, the face of the member will not rotate, regardless of the skew angle defined in the layout.

The following images illustrate two cases:

  • Case 1: A library in which the 'Rotate Plane by Skew' option is checked off at the start and end planes is assigned in the layout with a skew angle of 30 degrees at both ends.

  • Case 2: A library in which the 'Rotate Plane by Skew' option is checked on at the start and end planes is assigned in the layout with a skew angle of 30 degrees at both ends.
