How to define the Structure Tree in CIM?
Answer
Follow the steps below to define the structure tree in CIM:
Step 1: In the Base ribbon, click on the drop-down of the Work Type option
Step 2: From the drop-down menu, Click on the "Structure" option
[This option is available in all the major modes of CIM like Point library mode, Curve library mode, Assembly unit mode and Base mode.]
Note: This FAQ only explains how to define the structure tree in a CIM project.

A menu panel shall appear on the left of the modelling window.

Name: Assign the name of structure
- Example: 1.-- RC T Girder Bridge

Add: Adds a main branch of structure tree in the table
- Example:
- 1.1--Pier_A
- 1.2--Pier_B
- Example:

Add(Sub): Adds a sub branch of main branch
- Example: (Adding sub branch for "1.1--Pier A")
- 1.1.1--Pier Cap
- 1.1.2--Pier
- 1.1.3--Foundation
- Example: (Adding sub branch for "1.1--Pier A")
- Delete: Deletes selected row

Import from Excel: Entire structure tree will be imported from Excel sheet
- Configure the Excel table with identical column headings to maintain consistency.
- Export to Excel: Entire structure tree will be exported from Excel sheet
