How to enable/disable the snapping options in CIM?
Answer
Follow the steps below to turn on/off snapping options in CIM:
Step 1: In the Base Riboon, go to Global option
[This option is available in all the major modes of CIM, like Point library mode, Curve library mode, Assembly unit mode, and Base mode.]
A menu shall be displayed on the left of modelling window,
Step 2: Turn on/off the required snapping options
Step 3: Click on to Apply the changes

| Middle | Snaps the center of a line. | |
| Center | Snaps the center point of circles, arcs, and planes. | |
| Quadrant | Snaps the quadrants of circles, ellipses, and arcs. | |
| Nearest | Snaps any position on the line closest to the mouse cursor. | |
| Intersection | Snaps intersections between lines or lines and planes. | |
| Grid | Snaps intersections on the grid. | |
| Division | Snaps the division position of the edge according to the set number of divisions. | |
| Parallel | Snaps in a direction parallel to the 1D Edge. | |
| Perpendicular | Snaps in a direction perpendicular or to a location that meets the 1D Edge. | |
| Horizontal | Snaps in a direction parallel to the Local-X of the plane. | |
| Vertical | Snaps in a direction parallel to the Local-Y of the plane. | |
| Tangent | Snaps the location tangent to a curved 1D Edge (Circle, Arc). | |
| Extension | Snaps the location where the extension of the straight 1D Edge meets. |
