Explain Cutting Property Function used in CIM.
Answer
The Cutting Property function in CIM is used to trim or cut between different members. It can be applied either to members within the same library or between members belonging to different libraries.
There are two options available under Cutting Property:
- Specific Cutting Property
- General Cutting Property
When applying the Cutting Property, one member is defined as the Target and the other as the Tool. The Tool member is used to cut the Target member.
Additionally, CIM provides a Remove Cutting Property function, which allows users to remove any previously applied cutting properties from the model.
