Design Position

Function

• This feature enables the user to select the ends of selected elements to be checked for moment and (or) shear, for PSC Design. In case no element is selected then moment and (or) shear is checked for all elements at the specified ends.

Call

From the main menu, select [Design] tab > [Type : PSC Design] > [Design Input Data] group > [Design Position] > [Design Position]

Input

Click to the right fof Position for PSC Option to view the Position for PSC Design Table.

Option

Add/Replace : Add/Replace the design option to the selected element for design

Delete : Delete the design option defined previously for the selected element

Element Type

Element : Apply the design position to the selected element(s).

Virtual Beam : Apply the design position to the selected virtual beam(s). Available when virtual beams are defined in the model.

Moment

None : Do not check moment.

I : Check moment only at i-end

J : Check moment only at j-end

I & J : Check moment at both ends

Shear

None : Do not check shear.

I : Check shear only at i-end

J : Check shear only at j-end

I & J : Check shear at both ends
