Introduction
This manual introduces the new features for the MIDAS NX series and MS Excel. MIDAS Connector V2 is a tool that allows you to parse data within the MIDAS NX software and MS Excel in an efficient way. The MIDAS Connector V2 is more flexible than V1 and provides expandable functions to simplify your workflow. Just add it via the MS Store and start using it with your calculation spreadsheet.
- This add-in supports MS Excel 2021 and later versions.
- This add-in supports MIDAS NX V965 and later versions.
Adding the MIDAS Connector V2 in MS Excel
- Access the Add-ins icon (Home > Add-ins) and type “MIDAS” to search for MIDAS Connector V2 on the MS Store.
- Search MIDAS CONNECTOR, open the add-in as shown below, and add it.
- Then, you can find the MIDAS Connector V2 on the ribbon menu.
Member Log-in & MAPI-KEY Connection
After finishing the installation, click the function to start. (For example, click DB Manager.)
To connect your MS Excel and MIDAS NX, you need to log in with your MIDAS MEMBERS account and input the MAPI-Key from MIDAS NX. Let’s look at it step-by-step.
- Log in with MIDAS Members. If you are the first visitor and don’t have an account, you can sign up via the Create Member button.
- Copy and paste the MAPI-Key from MIDAS NX.
- MIDAS NX: Apps > API > API Setting
- Click the Connect button, copy the MAPI-Key, and close the window.
- Paste the MAPI-Key in the MIDAS Connector V2, and you are ready to start. You can also skip the connection process; however, you need to connect before parsing the data.
- When the Connect icon changes to Disconnect, it means your MIDAS NX is connected to the API server.
