Batch Conversion from MVLTRC to Static Load

Function

  • A number of loading conditions of different moving load locations are converted into static loadings and produced as model files of the MCT type. This is an extremely useful feature when a number of loading conditions need to be converted. Conversion is carried out by loading locations, result types, etc. all at once.

Call

From the main menu, select [Results] tab > [Type : Analysis result] > [Moving Load] group > [Batch Conversion from MVLTRC to Static Load]

Input

Batch Conversion from MVLTRC to Static Load dialog box

Name

Enter the name of the batch conversion.

Type

Select a result type among Reaction, Displacement, Truss Force/Moment, Beam Force/Moment, Plate Force/Moment, and Beam Stresses.

Moving Load Cases

Select desired moving load cases.

Select Node, Select Element

Enter the node numbers where reaction or displacement results are required.
Enter the element numbers where internal force or stress results are required.

Parts

Assign the desired positions of elements for producing results.

Assign the result components desired for producing results. Depending on the Type selected (Reaction, Displacement, Truss Force/Moment, Beam Force/Moment, Plate Force/Moment & Beam Stresses) components are automatically altered.

Add: Select to create a new batch conversion function.

Modify: Modify a previously created batch conversion function.

Delete: Delete a previously created batch conversion function.

When selecting Eurocode, consider adding the centrifugal forces as horizontal loads when converting moving loads to static loads.

Vertical Loads: Convert the moving loads in the state where the maximum or minimum results occur into vertical static loads.

Centrifugal Forces: Convert the forces generated by the centrifugal forces of vehicles and railways at curved bridges into horizontal static loads.

Height of Centrifugal Force From Running Surface: Height from the running surface at which the centrifugal forces act.

Maximum Speed: Maximum speed of the vehicle.

Radius of Curvature: Radius of curvature of the curved bridge.

Curve Type for Horizontal Force Direction

Convex: Convex-shaped curved bridge.

Concave: Concave-shaped curved bridge.

- Road Bridge: Load Model 1 Standard and user-defined vehicle

- Railway Bridge: Standard Vehicle – LM71, SW/0, SW/2, Unloaded Train, HSLM

User Defined Vehicle – LM71, SW/0, SW/2, Unloaded Train

Components

Assign the result components desired for producing results. Depending on the Type selected (Reaction, Displacement, Truss Force/Moment, Beam Force/Moment, Plate Force/Moment & Beam Stresses) components are automatically altered.

Add: Select to create a new batch conversion function.
