Function
- Check the mode shapes by stories in a spreadsheet format table.
- When "Story Shear Force Ratio>Consider Story Module"is checked in the "Model/Building/Control Data", accurate shear forces can be obtained for the story having the overlapping Module.
- When Modules are defined in Structure > Building > Story > Define Module button, the Module data is displayed in the first column of the table.
- Table Tool in Gen NX offers a variety of powerful built-in functions. Refer to Usage of Table Tool for detail directions.
Call
From the Main Menu select [Results] tab > [Type : Analysis Result] > [Table] group > [Story Tables] > [Story Mode Shape Table]
Input
From the Records Activation Dialog, select the Modes for which story mode shapes will be checked.
Refer to Usage of Table Tool and check the following data:
When Modules are not defined
Story : Story ID
Level : Story Elevation
X : GCS X-coordinate of the story mass node (center of mass)
Y : GCS Y-coordinate of the story mass node (center of mass)
Mode : Vibration mode number
UX : Value of the mode shape in GCS X-direction
UY : Value of the mode shape in GCS Y-direction
UZ : Value of the mode shape in GCS Z-direction
RX : Value of the rotational mode shape about GCS X-axis
RY : Value of the rotational mode shape about GCS Y-axis
RZ : Value of the rotational mode shape about GCS Z-axis
When Modules are defined
The Module column is generated only when the Modules are defined. Mode shapes for each story are calculated as per the following.
Note
1. GL level (1F) is not generated.
2. The bottom floors of upper Modules are not generated.
Module : Module name is defined in Structure > Building > Story > Define Module button
