Member design and strength verification of structural steel or concrete sections based on the section data defined by the user.
Call
From the Main Menu select [Design] tab > [Type : Steel Design] > [Design Section] gourp > [Section for Design]
From the Main Menu select [Design] tab > [Type : RC Design] > [Design Section] group > [Section for Design]
From the Main Menu select [Design] tab > [Type : SRC Design] > [Design Section] group> [Section for Design]
From the Main Menu select [Design] tab > [Type : Cold Formed Steel Design] > [Design Section] group > Section for Design.
Input
The Modify button : Select a section name from the list to display the following dialog box
The Reset button : Restore the sections selected to the original state.
The Reset All button : Restore all the sections modified to the original state.
Section ID : Section number
Name : Section name
: Pull-down list for sectional shapes
User : User-defined section
DB : Section Database Name

Built-Up Section : Classification of components
Note
The parameters noted below signify the sectional components of a built-up section. The allowable stress reduction factor for built-up sections is reflected in strength verification according to AISC-ASD89. If unchecked, rolled sections are applied.
H : Section height (depth)
B1 : Width of first flange
tw : Thickness of web
tf1 : Thickness of first flange
B2 : Width of the second flange
tf2 : Thickness of second flange
The Show Calculation Results... button : Calculate and display the sectional properties of the selected section.
The OK button : Apply the entered values or the selection and close the Dialog Box.
The Cancel button : Cancel the command.
The Apply button : Enter the values for the selected section.
