Assign

Summary

Assign a Curve Library to a layout in Base Mode.

How to Run

[Base Mode]
•  Ribbon Menu > [Base] Tab > [Library] Group > Curve > Assign

Explanation

Assign a Curve Library to a layout in Base mode.

[Select Curve Library] : Select the Curve Library to assign.

[Define Path] : Select the path to assign the Curve Library.

By Layout
: Assign Curve Libvrary to layout.
In this case, changing the layout will automatically reassign the Curve Library..
- Single Segment
: Select one segment. You can select only some segments from the entire layout.
Assign the Curve Library according to the selected segment size.
- Multiple Segments
   : Select multiple segments.
You can select only some segments from the entire layout, but you can only select segments consecutively.
Assign the Curve Library across the selected section.
- Whole Layout : Select the entire layout and assign the Curve Library.

By Select
: Assign the Curve Library to 1D Wire.
In this case, there is no update relationship between 1D Wire and Curve Library.

[Alignment] : Set the direction to assign of Curve Library.
Direction
- From Start : Assign the Constraint Path start point to the end point.
- From End : Assign the Constraint Path end point to the start point.

Align Type
: Sets the orientation of the Constraint Plane.
Set the constraint method of the cross section that creates the shape when the library is assigned to the parent mode

Tangential Parallel

- Tangential
: The cross section is placed perpendicular to the assigned path, and the rotation within the cross section is constrained in the Global-Z axis direction..

- Parallel : The cross section is constrained in the direction of the Global-Z axis.

[Offset
Distance (Path-Y) : Enter the offset distance in the Y-axis direction.
Distance (Path-Z) : Enter the offset distance in the Z-axis direction.

[Rotation] : Set the angle of rotation and how the rotation will be applied when rotating the Curve Library.

Using the Curve Library with the above shape as an example.

Offset Only Objects Only All

Offset Only
: The rotation of the Curve Library in Direction 2 is fixed, and only the rotation of the entire layout in Direction 1 occurs.

Objects Only
: The rotation of the entire layout in Direction 1 is fixed, and only the rotation of the Curve Library in Direction 2 occurs

All : Both rotations of the entire layout in Direction 1 and of the Curve Library in Direction 2 occurs.

[Preview Level] : Set the style of the Preview that appears during the assignment process.

Tip

Reference - Preview Level

[
Structure Matching]
: Sets whether to match Curve Library Structure data to Assembly Unit Structure data.

• Off : Does not match Library Structure data.
• On : Matches Library Structure data.
• Library Structure
: The top item of the Curve Library Structure data to be matched with the Assembly Unit Structure data is output.
• Base Mode Structure Table
- The structure data defined in the structure function of the Base Mode is displayed in the table.
- Select the structure data to be matched with the Curve Library structure data from the table.

[Quantity based on Library] : Set whether or not to calculate the quantity of the Curve Library unit.
Off : Quantity is not calculated in Library units.
On : Quantity is calculated in Library units.

Material Type

: Select the material type for the work type setting.
When selecting a material type, you can set the sub material type and work type registered in the material.
Library unit quantity calculation is provided only in User Defined form.

- None : No work type is set.
- User Defined : Set the work type defined by the user.

Sub Material Type

: Set up sub material type based on material type.
When selected, the Field Table suitable for the material appears.

Field
: Set the object's fields.
- Name : Set the field type of the object.
- Item List : Set sub-items(Field Items) according to the field type of the object.

Tip

The library unit quantity can only be calculated in number(EA).
Template setting conditions for library unit quantity calculation
- Template function > Quantity Template Table >Select “Material : Etc”
- Template function > Quantity Template Table > elect “Quantity : EA”
