Design Criteria for Rebar by Members Table

Function

  • Display the sectional data for RC members arranged in a table by member types
  • Modify/Delete existing or Add New data while reviewing the entered data.

 

Call

From the Main Menu select [Design] tab > [Type : RC Design] > [Table] group > [Rebar Data Tables] > [Design Criteria for Rebar by Members Table]

 

Input

When the table shown below is displayed, the user may select relevant items to Modify/Delete, or Add New data.

 

Beam Rebar Data

Element : Element number

Main Rebar : Standard size for main rebars

Stirrups : Standard size for stirrup bars

Arrangement : Number of shear reinforcing legs

Side Bar : Standard size for side bars

dT : Distance between the center of the top main rebars in the upper layer and the top surface of the section

dB : Distance between the center of the bottom main rebars in the lower layer and the bottom surface of the section

Option of Sliced Bars : A splicing option for the main rebars in the automatic design.

The default automatic design selects 50% (50%-spliced).
= None : Number of main rebars calculated without considering splicing
= 50% : Number of main rebars calculated considering 50%-splicing
= 100% : Number of main rebars calculated considering 50%-splicing

 

[Beam Rebar Data Table]-TW

Element : Element number

Main Rebar : Standard size for main rebars

Stirrups : Standard size for stirrup bars

Arrangement : Number of shear reinforcing legs

Side Bar : Standard size for side bars

dT : Distance between the center of the top main rebars in the upper layer and the top surface of the section

dB : Distance between the center of the bottom main rebars in the lower layer and the bottom surface of the section

Doubly Reinforced Ratio : Ratio of compressive rebar to tensile rebar

Tie/Spirals : Standard sizes for tie bars used in column design

Arrangement Y,Z : Number of shear reinforcement legs

d0 : Cover distance from the center of main rebars

Option of Spliced Bars : Select a splicing option for the main rebars in the automatic design.

The default automatic design selects 50% (50%-spliced).
= None : Number of main rebars calculated without considering splicing
= 50% : Number of main rebars calculated considering 50%-splicing
= 100% : Number of main rebars calculated considering 50%-splicing

Wall Rebar Data

Wall ID : Wall ID

Story : Story Level

Vertical Rebar : Standard sizes for vertical rebars used in shear wall design

Horizontal Rebar : Standard size for horizontal rebars used in shear wall design

End Rebar From : The minimum standard size to be used for end rebars for shear wall design.

de : Distance from the end of the shear wall member to the center of the first row of the vertical rebars (or end rebars) (cover thickness)

dw : Distance between the center of the end vertical rebars and the end of the shear wall (cover thickness)
