No more squinting at small icons! Each icon has now transitioned to a vector-based format, ensuring a crisp and clear display on any high-resolution monitor. Streamlined  Interaction: Introducing 360 View Cube, Custom Toolbar, and Quick Toolbar Features

In  GEN NX, we've enriched your user experience with three powerful features: the 360 View Cube, Quick Toolbar, and Custom Toolbar. The 360 View Cube provides users with the freedom to effortlessly move and rotate the model in various directions, enhancing spatial awareness and navigation. The Quick Toolbar is your shortcut to efficiency, offering a swift menu for frequently used functions, ensuring that essential tools are always within reach.

Furthermore, the  Custom Toolbar empowers users to tailor their workspace by placing regularly used functions or features directly under the toolbar. Enhanced Graphics: Transparency and Tendon Detailing

We have enhanced graphic clarity by introducing the transparency feature.
Now, users can quickly and easily adjust model transparency without the need to manipulate complex display settings.
This upgrade allows to review the overall geometry of the model through adjustable transparency visualization, while also enabling to efficiently prepare the necessary materials for reports.

 

 

Font and Label Scale Slider: Customizable Text and Label Size for Improved Readability

Understanding the importance of readability, especially in large-scale models, we've introduced the Font and Label Scale Slider. No more straining to decipher node/element numbers, loads, or analysis results. Users can now tailor the size of text elements to their preference, ensuring that critical numerical information is displayed clearly and legibly, even in expansive models.

Redesigned Analysis Monitor: Transparency in the Analytical Process

The newly designed Analysis Progress Bar provides an intuitive visualization of the entire analysis process, allowing users to grasp the overall flow at a glance.
This window displays the type of analysis, current progress, and remaining steps in real time, enabling users to clearly monitor the process even in complex analyses.

Through this feature, engineers can quickly identify and address any interruptions or delays during analysis, while also managing computational resources more efficiently for parallel or large-scale model analyses.

This upgrade goes beyond a simple progress indicator — it enhances users’ understanding of the analytical process, offering a more transparent and flexible environment tailored to each project’s needs.

Navigating through numerous elements in the tree menu, such as tendons, could be time-consuming. That's why we're excited to introduce the Tree Menu Search feature. Tailored for large models, this enhancement enables users to effortlessly locate specific components, such as tendons, without the need for tedious scrolling. Now, finding the desired element in the tree menu is a quick and seamless process, empowering users with efficient navigation and enhancing the overall user experience.

In GEN NX, we are happy to introduce a very visual upgrade —Structural Group Coloring. This enhancement empowers users to assign custom colors to elements and organize them into groups, providing an intuitive and visually impactful way to manage models. Users can now apply colors based on construction stages or structural types, allowing for quick and effortless visualization. In  GEN NX's latest upgrade, we unveil the Capture feature—an invaluable addition to your toolkit. Now, users can effortlessly take screenshots of their models, customizing the image size through the Capture Options feature. Choose from a range of file extensions, including jpg, bmp, dxf, and dwg, for maximum flexibility. What sets this feature apart is its ability to not only capture the model but also post-processing images like deformations and beam diagrams. Elevate your design reports and client presentations with the convenience of Capture, making visual communication a seamless and impactful experience.

Tracing Model: A Modeling Environment That Starts Directly on Drawings

In the newly enhanced GEN NX, users can now begin modeling directly using the geometry of base drawings.
By utilizing the Tracing technique, the software recognizes data from drawings, and with the Snap function, users can generate nodes and elements directly on lines, vertices, and intersections.

This intuitive and convenient feature allows users to model quickly and accurately without manually calculating structural coordinates — simply by working from the original drawing itself.
Furthermore, by layering different drawing data for each floor, users can easily create vertical structural members across floor heights with just a few clicks, offering an innovative and efficient modeling experience.

Enhancements in GSD: Expansion of design capabilities to Tendon and Retrofitting

midas GSD now supports the verification of prestressed concrete sections through P-M interaction curves, Moment-Curvature curves, and Ultimate Limit State (ULS) verification, ensuring comprehensive design validation. midasGSD now allows the definition of multiple materials to support the rehabilitation of cross-sections, providing enhanced flexibility and functionality for structural design and analysis.
