Function
Define the prestressing forces, jacking control sequences, and code-defined allowable stress limits applied to tendons.
Call
From the Main Menu
select [Post-tension] tab > [Tendon] group > [Tendon Stressing]
Input
Tendon Stressing
Name
Specify the name of the tendon-stressing input.
Method
Select the method used to define the prestressing force applied to the tendon.
Jacking Stress/fpu: Defines the jacking stress based on the ratio of specified ultimate tensile strength (fpu) of the prestressing steel.
Jacking Stress/fpy: Defines the jacking stress based on the ratio of specified yield strength (fpy) of the prestressing steel.
Jacking Stress: Specify the jacking stress directly as an absolute stress value applied to the tendon during stressing.
Force per tendon: Specify the prestressing force applied to each tendon.
User Input
Select this option to manually input the specific allowable stress thresholds for the transfer and service stages.
Transfer Stage: Enter the stress ratio or prestressing input, based on the selected method, to be applied to the tendon immediately after stressing and transfer of prestress to the slab.
Service Stage: Enter the stress ratio or prestressing input, based on the selected method, to be considered under service conditions after accounting for prestress losses.
Auto Calculation
Select this option to automatically compute the prestressing input using the selected type and jacking stage prestress inputs.
- First
Type: Choose between Live (active jacking end) or Fixed (dead/anchored end).
Jacking Stage: Input the initial jacking value based on the chosen method applied at this first end.
- Last
Type: Choose between Live (active jacking end) or Fixed (dead/anchored end).
Jacking Stage: Input the initial jacking value based on the chosen method applied at this last end.
Add
Click Add to create a new prestressing parameter set using the values entered in the input fields.
Modify
Select an existing prestressing parameter set, update the required inputs, and click Modify to save the changes.
Delete
Select a prestressing parameter set and click Delete to remove it from the list.
