[CAD ID] How to create the co-ordinate annotation in CAD ID?

Question

How to create the co-ordinate annotation in CAD ID?

Answer

Consider that we have already created the drawing view of a Pier cross-section in CAD Infra Design as highlighted in the image below.

Let's try to generate the coordinate annotation of the top left corner point of this pier.

1. Click on the 'Infra-Design' Ribbon.
2. From the drop-down menu, click on the 'Annotation' option.
3. Next Click on the 'Coordinate Annotation' Option.

Now, in the command prompt bar, you may notice the message 'Set Coordinate Point.' This indicates that you need to select the point whose coordinates should be displayed.

4. Move the mouse cursor to the top-left corner of the pier to obtain the coordinates, then left-click at that point.

Now, in the command prompt bar, you may notice the message 'Select Base Point.' This indicates that you need to select the location where the coordinates should be displayed.

5. Move the cursor to the location where the coordinates need to be displayed, then left-click at that point.

6. Now the coordinates would be displayed in the drawing view.

This is the process of generating the coordinate annotation in CAD ID.
