How to use the Section Property Calculator [SPC] in CAD ID?
Answer
The Section Property Calculator feature in CAD ID has been introduced to help users calculate section properties efficiently and accurately for various types of sections.
Using this feature, we can calculate properties for:
Plane type sections
Line type sections (with flange and web design profiles)
Composite sections
After defining each section type, CAD ID automatically computes the sectional properties such as area, centroid, moment of inertia, and more.
Once the calculation is complete, users can easily export the data in ".SEC" format for further use in Midas Civil/Gen, or paste all calculated values directly into the DWG file for reference and documentation.
