How can the drawing view be locked to prevent updates when the CIM model is modified?
Answer
Consider that we have already created the drawing view in CAD Infra Design as shown in the image below.
We will use the 'Publish' option to lock the drawing view and prevent updates when the CIM model is modified. This can be achieved by following the steps below:
1. Select the boundary of the drawing view that needs to be locked using the mouse cursor.
Once the drawing is selected, the boundary box will be highlighted, as shown below.
2. Click on the Infra Design Ribbon
3. Select the 'View' Option from the drop-down menu.
4. Select the 'Publish View' Option.
Now, the drawing view is published, as shown in the image below. If we look closely at the top right corner of the drawing view box, we can see that it is now labeled as 'Published' and a 'Lock' symbol is also displayed. This drawing view will not be updated even if the CIM model is modified.
If you want to remove the locking from the drawing view, you can do so using the 'Unpublish View' option under the Infra Design Ribbon > View Option, as shown in the image below.
